September marks the beginning of our recruiting season! Heidi, Brook, and I are dusting off our rollerbags and heading back to campus. Although we’re closing the chapter of this summer, we thought it would be fun to share with you what we did with our “summer vacation”. We use the term “summer vacation” loosely, because we definitely had lots of projects and work to complete over the summer. But the summer months are a bit of a vacation for us because we’re travelling less and enjoying the simple pleasure of being home a little bit more.
All three of us turned a year older this summer! Brook in June, Heidi in July, and me in August. We also all celebrated another year with Hyatt and now have 33 years of Hyatt experience combined! In July, we all flew to Denver to attend the International Council on Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Education’s (I-CHRIE) annual conference and marketplace. It was great to have quality time with so many esteemed educators.

While in Denver for I-CHRIE, we had to take the time to toast Heidi and her now fiancé Matt! Matt proposed on July 23rd and they’re planning a July 2012 wedding! Now you know what we’re all doing next summer…..attending Heidi’s wedding!

This year’s I-CHRIE conference was especially significant for Brook, since it was the first time she left a conference headed for home and wasn’t flying to Chicago! Over the summer, after 11 years of living in the “Windy City”, Brook moved to the great state of California! It took 3 ½ days to drive from Chicago to West Hollywood, but she made it safely and will now lead our college recruiting efforts on the West Coast.

As for me, the highlight of my summer was a trip to Curacao! I used my comp room nights and spent a few days with my best friends at the Hyatt Regency Curacao Golf Resort, Spa, and Marina! The resort is absolutely beautiful and nothing compares to walking just a few steps outside of your room door and being right there on the beach!

Summer of this year as usually, Park Hyatt Saigon has arranged the trip to Madagui for all emmployees.It was divided into 3 trips.I was on 3rd trip. We had dinner together at Royal Casino party at nite Then we spent money that we won 2nd prize for Paintball.This is a fantastic trip ever!!!
